Collaborations
iGEM isn't just about science in the lab. Collaborations with other iGEM teams represent opportunities to receive constructive feedback, refine our project goals, and even just to meet other amazing people with ideas on how to use synthetic biology to change the world for the better BioBrick by BioBrick. Despite challenges related to COVID-19, we were able to attend two virtual meetups, meaningfully interview other iGEM teams through our podcast, and appear in another team's worldwide collaborative video.

Scot Science: Collaborative Interviews
Our iGEM team was able to collaborate with other iGEM teams during this year’s project. We were able to collaborate with the University of Chicago’s iGEM team on an episode of our podcast, along with the University of Edinburgh, as well as IISC iGEM. On these episodes, we were able to learn more about their projects and ask some questions as to what they are doing in their community and how they have been able to adjust during the uncertain times COVID-19 has brought to us.
Global Meetup
We went to the iGEM Global Meetup hosted by 5 Parisian iGEM teams (Ionis Paris, Sorbonne, GO Paris Saclay, Evry Paris Saclay, and Bettencourt). Here, Maddie Hibbs was able to give a poster presentation of our project. Within this space, we got feedback from the other teams that were in attendance, practice our presentation, and communicate our science with others. We gave other teams feedback as well following their presentations.

TU Delft Project Introduction Video
We also were involved with TU Delft iGEM in the making of a video that invited other teams to introduce their projects for this upcoming jamboree. This was a fun way for us to interact with other teams and share the exciting projects we are all pursuing this year.
Revive & Restore Kickoff
We were lucky enough to receive one of twelve grants from the Revive & Restore Foundation. Revive & Restore then hosted a kickoff in early August and along with the other teams who received funding, we presented our project and answered questions from other teams and Revive & Restore employees.
