It’s an exciting time to be a young scientist. As the flow and freedom of information increase at a seemingly exponential rate, we see ever more innovative and ambitious research carried out globally by students themselves. In addition to this outflow there has been a pleasing growth of public interest in the field. Thus, iGEM Aachen composed of 14 highly motivated students of different studying fields, also stepped up to make people aware of their crucial strength in shaping our future. Based on our example, we showed the impact of building a knowledgeable and ambitious society to change the world for good.
