Overview
As the old saying goes, “Two heads are better than one.” This year we collaborated with multiple other teams, discussing experiments and hardware, taking surveys, and sharing our experiences on social media.
NTHU X NCTU: Experiment Material Collaboration
After discovering the similar nature of our projects, which both involve membrane protein expression and M9 minimal medium preparation, we decided that collaborating on experiments would be most practical and helpful for both teams.

TAS_Taipei X NCTU: Experiment Validation Collaboration
TAS_Taipei invited us to visit their lab for their experiment validation. With their protocols and assistance, we successfully helped them validate their experiments.

CCU X NCTU: Hardware Collaboration
From our two virtual meetups with CCU , we found that teammates on both teams had different specialties in hardware design and could meet each team’s hardware needs. So, we collaborated in designing hardware, allowing both teams’ devices
to take shape.

Social Media Collaboration
Due to COVID, the importance of communication with social media has increased rapidly. Therefore, we started to manage our fanpage more actively. To diversify the content on our fanpage, we participated in collaboration activities hosted
by foreign teams. In addition, we created our own challenge for other iGEM teams to spread awareness regarding proper mask disposal.

SDGs Taiwan Panel Discussion
NCKU Tainan and CSMU Taiwan hosted the SDGs Taiwan Panel Discussion. From it, we learned how SDGs be connected to iGEM projects in Taiwan, and understood the practical meaning of SDGs from the inspiring speech of Professor Chiu. In addition,
it was a good opportunity for us to share how E. Hybrid improves the development of Affordable and Clean Energy and discuss about energy issues in Taiwan.
