In creating this model, we have made a few crude approximations and assumptions to account for the lack of data in the literature, going into a project using an uncommon substrate and even more uncommon enzyme we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of data in the literature. Despite this there was still plenty of constants that were in dispute or simply had no value at all, so we had to make do with a few assumptions, the largest of these was probably the dissociation constant of the enzyme substrate complex. If we had been able to perform our full lab work we would've aimed to establish this. Also using our lab work we would have liked to design some tests that would validate the model, both in parts and as a whole. Therefore, while it could be considered either convenient or lucky that our model proves our hypothesis and also validates our system we would rather think that we are simply excellent scientists applying and using excellent science.
