Collaboration with CAU_China
Provided CAU_China with pY26 vector and discussed some experiences about yeast transformation and expression with them.
Meeting with XJTU-China and XMU-China
On August 2nd, XJTU-China held a meetup with XMU-China and us on the necessity of anti-escape systems. At the meeting, both of two team thought that because of the nutritionally deficient nature of engineered yeasts and because our modification increase the species' ecological niche in the environment, it's not necessary to consider suicide system in our project. We have also adopted this suggestion.
Collaboration of Pasta with many teams
SCU-China need pictures of fermented pasta from various regions of China, and many teams have helped us:
ECUST-China provided pictures of the finished product;
CFLS provided photos of the production process;
BNU-China provided photos and videos of the finished products and production process;
DUT-China provided photos of making the product;
HZAU-China provided photos of the finished product;
FUDAN provided the recipe of production and photos of the finished product;
BIT provided a video of the process of making the product;
GDPU provided a video of making the production;
JLU provided a video of making the production;
HBUT provided photos of the finished product;
FAFU-China provided a video of the production process;
CSU-China provided a video of making the production;
NJTech provided photos of the finished product;
NWU-China provided photos of the finished product;
OUC provided the recipe and pictures of the finished product;
QHFZ-China provided the recipe and pictures of the finished product;
Tongji provided pictures of the finished product;
WHWS provided the production video and the recipe;
YAU provided pictures of the finished product;
ZJUT-China provided pictures of the finished product.
Through these data, we understand the dough fermentation in different parts of China better and strengthen our confidence to the project.
Southwestern Union Meeting
BUCT held an online meeting, that is, "Southwestern Union Meeting”. There are six iGEM teams participating, including, SCU-China, SiCAU-China, UESTC-China, UESTC-Software and XJTU-China. During this meeting, we introduced our respective projects in order and discussed the problems encountered when preparing for iGEM. Besides, all the teams discussed their understanding of iGEM and its competition rules. This meeting was very successful, for each team has learned some experience from it.
In the end, we reached a cooperation with the BUCT. Their members provided lots of ideas and expanded our HP. We put forward a lot of important suggestions to them, especially on the feasibility of the practical application, like how much cyanophages should be put into the water body and how much unnatural amino acids need to be put into the control of cyanophages.

Meeting with GA_State_SW_Jiaotong
On October 20, GA_State_SW_Jiaotong, a joint team of Georgia State University and Southwest Jiaotong University, held a mutual discussion meeting in our projects with the us. As the greenhouse effect is becoming more and more serious, GA_State_SW_Jiaotong hopes to transform the symbiotic symbiodium of the coral by introducing a plasmid carrying resistance genes to improve its heat resistance and improve the most widespread bleaching to protect marine resources. We praised their hardware work and the impact of human Practice. At the same time, we shared a lot of notes and experience with them about some tips, such as the poster's question session, the requirements of awards, and the development suggestions of human practice. GA_State_SW_Jiaotong also appreciated our CRISPR experiments, data analysis ways and software design of prediction. They have learned a lot about data processing methods. In addition, some members of them suggested to highlight the key points and pay attention to logic in our presentation.

Meeting with SCU-WestChina and SZU-China
CU-WestChina held a meeting with SCU-China and SZU-China. The members of three teams introduced their own projects and the progress, putting forward some ideas for each other's projects. In addition, the three teams also talked about what happened at the beginning of team building and project design, and exchanged some useful experience in member training for iGEM 2021.
