Project Promotion Video

ABSTRACT

This project is aimed at creating novel antibacterial protein complexes, designed to specifically bind and kill species of multidrug-resistant bacteria. This would be achieved by the fusion of antibacterial proteins called pyocins and bacteriophage tail fibers. Furthermore, it aims to create a system for the easy production of such antimicrobials, consisting of an expression plasmid and software. Validation will be done experimentally, targeting the pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii, and production will be done in E. coli.
