A synthetic biology project works with resilient yeast strains that will behave more predictably in space.

Right now, the only thing on the menu out in space is usually dehydrated food. But what if you could make something a little tastier... something like space bread? A team of students at Concordia are working on something called AstroYeast. It's something that could help a team of astronauts headed to Mars! We speak with one of those students: Hajar El-Mouddene.
