We settled on three candidate ideas (crude oil desulphurisation, self-healing bio-concrete, compostable plastic) and made a presentation with details on each. We split into three groups, with one group researching further into each idea.
Science Communication and Outreach
Izzy and Anna started brainstorming ideas for the graphic design of our project. Although our project is scientific we wanted to challenge the idea that science is only accessible to academics by creating our infographics and website in a style that is fun, colourful and appealing to a wide audience. They recorded their ideas on a section of our team OneNote and also started gathering inspiration on a Pinterest board:
