Collaboration with Experts/Industry
We had an online meeting with Dr Sarah Hartley, an expert on responsible innovation at Exeter University's Business School. We discussed the following ideas with her:
- Circular bioeconomy – reducing waste in the biosciences
- Public attitudes to genetic engineering and how this may affect perception of our project
- Knowledge engagement with communities and why we should make information about our project easily accessible to the communities who might be impacted by our work
- And finally, how all of this should impact our project direction – engaging with people affected by our work is about listening more than about talking!
