We had a meeting with Chloe at 4pm to discuss which medal criteria we were aiming for and our progress.
Lab Work
Adam and Anna redid the induction experiments attempted yesterday. Pazzy came in to film some shots of lab work in the morning for the project video.
The hydrogel from yesterday went red meaning CO2 had successfully permeated the hydrogel resulting in carbonic acid production. Ariane and Izzy then redid the experiment using 1% agarose instead of 0.1%, a density closer to what our 3D printer ink would theoretically be like.
Team Collaborations
Matthew messaged CLS, Ghana and UCL about arranging another meeting to discuss the progress of our collaboration.
Science Communication and Outreach
Matthew finished writing the video/presentation script for the Bioethics lecture run by Dr Mark Ramsdale.
