Safety

Our project is purely computational/virtual with no experimental or wetlab components. Therefore, there are no biological safety risks associated with our project in its current stage. In the future, we plan on running experiments in the lab. All lab safety protocols will be followed, and each team member working in the lab will have completed safety training. Each procedure will be conducted under supervision of an experienced graduate student, and individuals will wear appropriate PPE.

We discuss ethical safety and considerations in the human practices section. As we transition from Phase 1 into Phase 2 of our project, we are looking further into safety considerations with our design. These theoretical considerations are discussed in other sections as well.
