Jieni Wu

Hi, I’m Jennifer. I never look at myself as someone who live in the moment, now, the current time period or environment. I am obsessed with the obsolete feelings and spirits that just won’t be felt in my normal life. I feel like, a wanderer from a wasted orient, but I am not.If I am skeptical about most things or truths that exist on earth, the only thing I believe in will be the consciousness of human beings, the suffering of consciousness will be the thing I care the most.

All of these experiments are really beneficial to me, and I enjoy this process very much.

Yushan Zou

I am Yushan Zou from RDFZ-China. Out of thousands of universes, we chose to be born here. Under the mystical starry sky, we had a remarkable encounter. What I like about biology is that it tells my story, your story and the stories of all the creatures that chose to be here. I hope I can become a lifelong learner and explorer.

Yong Ji

I am Yong Ji from RDFZ-China. I am interested in Biology, exploring the mechanisms behind the nature. I am eager to learn a wide variety of branches of Biology, such as Biochemistry, Zoology and Botany. When I knew that iGEM is about synthetic Biology, I determined to participate in it. I had a great time in the course of our project: we build a metabolic pathway related to diet therapy, and we hope to use a more effective, acceptable way to relieve the pain of depression.

Zhi Ji

Hi, everybody! I’m Jim from RDFZ-China. I wanted to conduct some experiments, and learned more about synthetic biology. So, I took part in the RDFZ-China IGEM team last year. Biology is the science which explores the nature and life. I was interested in animal behavior when I was young, and that’s the reason why I want to study Biology. I enjoy the experiment part of this year’s project. We conducted some experiments together as a team, and we also got familiar with methods how to use experiment facilities.

Shuying Han

Biology seems to be a subject that is most "tangible" to me because biology is the foundation of most subjects; it could be applied and combined with various fields like statistics, pharmacy, chemistry and even computer science. iGEM offers a perfect platform for us to apply those academic skills and devote our effort to make contributions to the world. It is my first time participating in a professional biology experiment, to make videos and post them online and to work with such a group of passionate people.

Yuhong Chen

My name is Elwaldor Chen. I named it by myself because I want to El means “else”, I want to be another person who is special, and make a difference in biology field in the future. I love snowboading. Can’t stop the feeling! It is my pleasure to collaborate with my teamates, I can learn lots of things from them and thus improve myself. The experience and memory are full of happiness. Also, diving deeper in sythetic biology reinfores my mind to study in this field. I will try my best to help our team to be better now, and help the world to be better in the future. No matter how, never regrets!
