Science Communication

Introduction

Participating in iGEM allows us to better understand the knowledge of synthetic biology. As igemers, we have the responsibility to let more people understand the science behind synthetic biology. At the same time, our project this year is about the degradation of PET. We hope that we call on everyone to pay attention to environmental pollution and plastic pollution through our project. However the event could only be changed to online due to the epidemic, but we still managed to get more people involved.

For high school students

我们与FDUiGEM2020团队合作，共同举办一个针对初高中生的暑期夏令营。我们通过使用线上会议的方式开展此次夏令营。在为期两天的夏令营中，我们团队向他们讲解合成生物学的知识。

通过这次合作交流和夏令营的举办，我们认识到塑料的生物降解并不为很多人所熟知，人们对于塑料污染问题的认识还不够。与此同时，我们也认识到我们所做的项目对环境的意义之重大。因此，我们将投入更多的精力去完成项目。

我们认识到塑料的生物降解并不为很多人所熟知，人们对于塑料污染问题的认识还不够。同时考虑今年的特殊情况，我们致力于通过线上平台来开展我们一系列的宣传工作。为此，我们在微信、微博、twitter上开设了账号，让更多公众更好地了解合成生物学、iGEM比赛以及我们今年的项目。
