High School iGEM Teams Meeting
Invited by QHFZ_China, we attended the High School iGEM Teams Meeting on August 1st , introducing our proposal and the preparation for wetlab works during the pandemic. It was a new experience for us to contact with high school iGEMers, and it offered us a great opportunity to get familiar with their ideas and the way they tried to solve the practical matters via synthetic biology. This meeting had strengthened our relationship with the High school iGEM Teams, and also makes it possible for the further collaboration.
Xuetang program academic salon
Although we had deep communication with college and high school iGEM teams, it is also important for us to listen to ideas and suggestions from other students major in biology. On October 10th , Xuetang program academic salon provided us a chance to present our project and introduce synthetic biology to them. As a positive feedback, they showed great interest to our project and synthetic biology, and meanwhile offered us with many practicable and useful suggestions based on the biological mechanism of bacteria-interaction and enzyme activity. For new sophomore students in this salon, our introduction successfully aroused their curiosity on synthetic biology and iGEM.
Challenge cup presentation
The Challenge cup is one of the biggest annual scientific exhibitions held in Tsinghua, in this event the undergraduates students from all departments will share their results and achievements of extracurricular scientific research. As part of the presentation for the college of life science, we exhibited our poster and introduced our project to the students and faculties.
