Dr. Ng is devoted to the study of synthetic biology, genetic and enzymatic engineering, biorefinery and bioremediation. She has developed a robust and efficient platform to explore the novel and functional enzymes by genetic and proteomics approach.
Dr. Masayuki Hashimoto
Assistant Professor - Institute of Molecular Medicine
Dr. Hashimoto is a bacterial genetist, majorly study E. coli and B. subtilis. "It's my pleasure to join the NCKU iGEM team. I'm really enjoying the project with young students. They are so active, so I'm also stimulated by them."
Dr. Jia-Horung Hung
Attending physician – Department of Ophthalmology, National Cheng Kung University Hospital
Dr. Hung is an ophthalmologist and currently a lecturer in National Cheng Kung University. He believes that the brilliant idea of iGEM NCKU Tainan 2020 can break through the bottleneck of glaucoma management through synthetic biology.

Dr. Wang has a goal of using a science-based approach to manage and optimize aquaculture practices. She believes that this is very important for the eco-friendly sustainable shrimp aquaculture industry.

Purpose of joining iGEM: I think it's cool to fix some real serious problems happening in our world. Through synthetic biology, we can do much more things then we expected. Also, this is my last year before I go into hospital, so why not just give it a try?
