Proposed scene of usage
Device:
Based on the culture model of Escherichia coli in the laboratory, a chocolate-like solid LB test strip was designed. The surface contains evenly distributed active Escherichia coli transformed with our designed biosensor plasmids. And the substrate of reaction, X-gal, is pre-embedded in the strip. When the test is needed, people just need to break off a piece of "chocolate" and drop the tested urine and the standard serotonin prepared in our kit on the surface of "chocolate" for color comparison, so as to know the approximate serotonin level.
The standard serotonin is prepared in order to reduce the difference between different production batches of "chocolate" and the influence of different storage time on the results, obtaining more accurate results through semi-quantification. If multiple tests find excessive levels of serotonin in the urine, we recommend further diagnosis and early intervention at the hospital.
Storage:
Our kit needs to be kept in a refrigerator at home at 4 ° C to maintain certain shelf life.

SOS Autism Screening Kit contains solid LB box, standard serotonin, disposable urine collection box, plastic gloves, plastic pipette, user manuals.
Safety Concerns:
The carefully designed packing box of the kit prevents the internal E. coli from contaminating the food in the refrigerator. We will also select bacteria safe enough to reduce possible safety problems. The product may get ingested by the child and causes danger of choking, poisoning, or infection. So, our packing box is designed with eye-catching warning signs to inform parents to keep it away from children.

Besides from domestic usage, the SOS Autism Screening Kit can also be used at:

B. Autism rehab center for the use of continuous condition monitoring.
