Proposed end users

We will evaluate the activity of the purified keratinase produced in the laboratory. At the same time, we will also evaluate the biological, physical, and chemical safety of the aforementioned keratinases to ensure that the keratinases we produce are efficient at degrading keratin and are absolutely safe. The artificially synthesized keratinase had been added to the cream facial mask matrix to prepare biological facial masks with different keratinase concentrations.

The bio-exfoliating mask designed and produced in this project can be used by all people who need to exfoliate and improve skin conditions all over the body, including the face, the hands, and the feet.

Safety aspects

Regarding the safety of the mask, it is always our priority, including the biosafety assessment of whether it causes skin and facial features damage, and the risk of direct skin damage such as skin allergies or breakage. Meanwhile, the excessive heavy metals contamination risk in the mask should be excluded.

We recommend that the product should not be used near eyes, abscesses, and open wounds, and its use time should be limited to 10 minutes or less.

Other challenges

In this project, the biggest challenge we face is whether we can obtain recombinant keratinase with sufficient activity and whether these keratinases can maintain their original activity after purification.

We will purchase and collect a variety of cream mask bases, looking for safe and simple mask bases, while considering the cost. The artificially synthesized keratinase had been added to the above-mentioned facial mask matrix to prepare biological facial masks with different keratinase concentrations, and then the function of the above-mentioned biological facial mask containing keratinase is evaluated.

To ensure keratin degradation efficiency and safety, we recommend that the products should be stored and distributed via cold chain logistics. This will certainly be a major challenge for market promotion, marketing modes, and changing consumer habits.

Real world implementation

We will conduct a lot of market research, study the current mask market, especially products with similar exfoliating functions, and study consumer demand. At the same time, the cost calculation of the product is carried out to determine the price of the product that is competitive in the market and can guarantee full commercial benefits. At the same time, we will also carry out professional high-level design for product packaging and promotional materials, and add humanized design to the product, including free facial mask brushes.

Of course we realize that our solutions will be imitated and used by other commercial institutions or R&D institutions if our products are successfully launched. On the one hand, we will apply for patents to protect our core technology, and on the other hand, we will remain open to share our achievement with any out parts, so that more people and organizations are engaged in the development and promotion of bioactive masks. Only more people and organizations participate in the development of bioactive masks, bioactive masks will be better promoted among users, so as to serve more consumers and create more commercial benefits.
