Hey there, here is Xi He, a rising senior from Stony Brook School located in Long Island, New York. My previous experience for conducting experiments regarding DNA sequencing and gene alternative splicing in Cold Spring Harbor helped me substantially to be competent in my position as the chief captain. I was in charge of the lab sections and poster design. Besides that, I was involved in other parts and gave pertinent advice as needed. By participating in this empirical iGEM program, not only had I honed my leadership but also opened up my horizon of science. Had it not been for gratuitous support of my peers and mentors, I would never have experienced working in such an advanced lab setting and performing tasks like a real scientist as an ordinary high schooler.
Hello, I’m Jiayi Ke from Hangzhou Foreign Languages School Cal-Center. I love debate and music. And I’m the leader of melodrama club and biology club in our school. Besides, I’ve been interested in biology since I was in primary school. When I was young, I only had the chance to read books and watch documentaries to know what I like. Now having the opportunity to explore my hobby, I attend this project in Y10. I helped our team to design the logo. In addition, I joined the experiment-doing group. I was also the person to record our experiments as well.
Hi, I’m Haiyang Gao. I am from Beijing new oriental foreign language school at Yangzhou. I was interested in Biology by studying AP biology and the Biology experiments, so I chose to join in IGEM to improve the comprehensive abilities in biology. With my great passion, I designed my team logo by combining the symbol of our products and the spirit of our team. In the team, I was a member of the business project group. I was responsible for the investment forecast sheet in the business project group.
Hi, I’m Yuki Zhang. I’m a rising freshman at Choate Rosemary Hall. I’m interested in math, computer science, drawing, painting, playing the violin and the viola, acting, and cross country, but I’m hoping to explore more in areas of science like biology.In the iGEM team, I worked with my teammates on the Business Project where I focused on the description of the venture, the marketing plan, as well as reviewing and the 2-minute introductory video where I acted and filmed, and illustrating the webpage design.
Hello there, I’m Tingxia Feng from an international high school, called ZMB in Nanjing, China. Begun taking part within the extend when I was in Y11, I gave time and exertion amid the vacations in arrange to form a commitment to the entire group. From an early age, I adored subjects related to different areas of science. Accordingly, to enlarge my vision or sight of the world, I attended the competition and the group to join in a larger “stage.” In the group, I served as the captain of the working portion, primarily including social media (particularly on WeChat), allotment, and group WiKi.

Hi! I am Luyi Wang, a junior student from XIAN GAOXIN NUMBER ONE high school. I am sixteen now. I learned the Chinese studying scheme in the first year of high school, but then I went into the AP scheme this year. What I have a lot of passion for are biology and chemistry, and I participated in many competitions on these two subjects. In life, I show interest in exercising and dancing. I am a thirteen-year dancer in Chinese fork dance. In this group, I am the leader who directed the whole stuff of the experiment, including how to make the competent cells and how to purify our obtained protein. It is a really fantastic job to lead the whole experiment part, and I will be responsible for every job in this group.
Hi, I’m Chang Huang from Shanghai Weiyu International School. I’m interested in many subjects, especially biology. To further study this subject, I joined this IGEM team. In this team, I worked on performing the experiments, editing videos and taking charge of the wed design. I am glad to be given the opportunity to show my abilities. I also hope to practice my skills and gain knowledge by attending IGEM.
Hi, I’m Weishan Deng from an international high school in Guangzhou, China. Starting participating in the project when I was in Y10, I devoted time and effort during the vacations to contribute to the whole team. From an early age, I showed great love towards subjects related to science, such as chemistry and biology. To gain a further understanding of the expertise more specifically, for example, to know how the lives of the scientists are, I took part in this project with passion. In the group, I mainly compiled the scripts from our teammates, including a large part of the research in the early stage. Moreover, propagations via various social media were my paramount liability.

In the current IGEM team, I am in, I’ve participated in filming the introductory video, writing the script and designing the setting, I’ve also helped my teammates with writing our business plan in the part of analyzing our consumers and competitors. Hi, I’m ZhiHao Wu, as a student in senior two from YangZhou New Oriental international high school. In my daily life, besides the routine curriculum i will learn, the most things that i am very interesting is about the marketing, social psychology, consuming psychology. In this project, i will help to set up Web pages, analysis financial reports , and make interviewing videos. I know, to a new arrival in this field like me, biology seems like an obstacle for me to overcome. So, i hope that i can seize this opportunity, challenge my limit, and ultimately march to victory with my team.
