Best Education:
Lung cancer is the most prevalent cancer in China, yet, the general public is less than informed about its threat. With this in mind, we hoped to raise awareness of oncology in all communities: young children, students, adults, the elderly, and patients. Through our doodling book containing creative and simple biology depictions, children learned about science at a young age. To reach students, the Keystone Fair was an event that allowed for fruitful discussions. Our podcast album – Biomedical Mix-Mash – mainly focused on adults and the elderly, informing them of cancer classification, prevention, etc. For patients, the situation was relatively different, as it was impossible to produce a commercialized therapeutic in this restricted time frame. Thus, to make an impact short-term, we initiated multiple charity sales to raise money for families suffering financially due to cancer. Other educational projects include our WeChat sticker pack, BJKids article, and more.

Best Integrated Human Practices:
In order to create a product that is meaningful to the world, we put a great deal of effort into building a valid theoretical foundation for the experiment. That makes our integrated HP.
Our job in this section is closely interweaved with the progress of our scientific project. Whenever there are new findings during the research, we apply them to our experiment; whenever there are updates in the lab, we verify them by communicating with the society. At the end of the day, we have read through innumerable research paper, interviewed 2 NSCLC patients, 3 VC investors, 2 core members from pharmaceuticals, 2 doctors and 4 researchers from scientific research institutes and came up with three different versions of a progressively evolving design.

Best Model:
In our project, modeling is actively incorporated into the course of design and experiments. It demonstrates our design's effectiveness in silico when some experiments are not possible during this pandemic outbreak. Starting by making reasonable assumptions and evaluating parameter values from experimental data, we built differential equations that described the liposomes' motions in a two-dimensional stationary fluid flow from scratch. An increase in the number of captured liposomes in the targeted area immediately emerges when an external alternating magnetic field is added, as demonstrated by our simulations. Without compromising reliability, our model provides insight into our ongoing experiments simply and intuitively.

Best Inclusion:
Our initial research informed us that STEM education was slightly lacking in China, so, to make sure everyone has a voice in iGEM and STEM, we initiated projects that covered all demographic groups. Our doodling book aimed to educate children, the syn-bio fair we attended allowed outreach to students, our broadcast, published articles, etc., targeted adults and the elderly, and our charity sales targeted cancer patients. We have also been proactive in eliminating language barriers. We have produced work in our native language and have also made our promotional video in 7 different languages – English, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Dutch, and Korean. Not only have we reached out to different populations, but we have also allowed bi-directional communication by leaving our contact information and directly engaging with passerby at events. We hope our work have made iGEM a more inclusive and diverse community.
