DESIGN

Inspired by the article written by Blazejewski et al., our team established a plan for the experiments. As you can see in the illustration, after determining two gene sequences we wanted to entangle, we prepared multiple sequence alignments as inputs for the software CAMEOS. After the software produced the outputs, we analyzed them and selected the best variants. After optimizing the entangled sequence for our experiments, we planned to clone them and characterize whether the proteins produced were functional. For more details and to read about the design iterations we executed as well as our experimental plan to test our designs, see the Engineering page of our wiki.
