This year, we created a web tool that will be useful in successfully diagnosing early-stage asthma in the field of medicine. This idea was fueled by our desire to make the bioinformatics part of the diagnosis easily accessible and understandable for everyone.

From beta testings and further testings, we concluded that it was very user friendly given the positive feedback we got from the web tool interaction. The stand out appraisal is that there is little or no previous information of programming or bioinformatics needed to be able to operate the webtool. We also provide a user-friendly “User guide” with easy and understandable vocabulary for the user to conveniently navigate the webtool.

We believe ClusteRsy will enable time-saving in the future where Rna- seq data will not be needed to be sent to experts for analysis. Instead, by using ClusteRsy, clinicians can conveniently analyse it themselves.

In the field of synthetic biology, it is common to study differentially expressed genes when analyzing different types of networks. ClusteRsy is a tool that will be beneficial to future teams composed of university students with basic knowledge of bioinformatics. This will create a more interesting and interactive experience in their iGEM journey.
