Proof of Concept

The backbone connecting all facets of this project is the promotion of biocontainment systems and the helping of the iGEM community as a whole to understand and implement biocontainment systems.

Database Effectiveness

Our database allows teams to easily find what biocontainment system fits their project best. We’ve surveyed the global iGEM community, and found that teams were able to efficiently use it to locate a biocontainment system that works for them.

Modeling

Given a sequence, our modeling predicts the likelihood of a mutation.

Biocontainment Consultation

Our collaboration work is built around helping other teams with implementing biocontainment systems into their projects. We have been on zoom calls with teams from around the world to educate them on biocontainment in general, if biocontainment is something they should consider implementing, and the specific biocontainment system that would best fit their project.

Human Practices

Our human practices team has been creating videos to educate about biocontainment and other topics related to synthetic biology.
