The 2020 OhioState iGEM team is a diverse group of 9 incredible people from all sorts of backgrounds. This has been to our advantage, as each of us has had a unique perspective on the world and our project.

Ankit Annapareddy

Ankit is a 2nd year Neuroscience major. His favorite thing about iGEM is coming up with new and exciting ideas as a group. In 5 years, he sees himself in grad school.

Annie Bete

Annie is a 2nd year Computer Science and Engineering major. Her favorite thing about iGEM is designing and developing the wiki. Her role model is Katherine Johnson.

Jacob Smith

Jacob is a 3rd year Biochemistry major. His favorite thing about iGEM is the ingenuity of everyone's ideas. His hidden talent is knowing what song is playing within the first second.

Lindsey Shimoda

Lindsey is a 3rd year Biological Engineering major. Her favorite thing about iGEM is exchanging ideas with professionals and other iGEM teams from all over the world. During quarantine, she’s done a lot of crocheting.

Lizzie Chung

Lizzie is a 3rd year Biology major. Her favorite thing about iGEM is the opportunity to brainstorm ideas with other experts and iGEM teams around the world. Her favorite book is “Modern Prometheus” by Jim Kozubek.

Megan Rinehart

Megan is a 2nd year Biomedical Science major. Her favorite thing about iGEM is developing real world solutions to prevalent problems using synthetic biology. Her role model is the famous Galileo Galilei.

Nate Meyer

Nate is a 2nd year Molecular Genetics major. His favorite thing about iGEM is learning lab skills and being able to work on his own ideas. His role model is Tycho Brahe.

Peter Burback

Peter is a 2nd year Biomedical Science major. His favorite thing about iGEM is Learning and applying new knowledge about synthetic biology to create solutions to problems. His role model is Louis Pasteur.

Satvik Kethireddy

Satvik is a 2nd year Biological Engineering major. His favorite thing about iGEM is learning about Synthetic Biology. During quarantine, he enjoyed walking his new dog.
