To measure phosphate, potassium, glucose, PTH, and FGF23 in a biosensor we need a protein to bind each biomarker. We also need a method of detection to quantify biomarker concentrations accurately and repeatedly. And we need a method to anchor these proteins to the biosensor chamber, securing the protein for multiple measurements.

Our wet lab team has designed a protein system capable of these requirements. Native binding proteins to detect biomarkers with high specificity, mNeonGreen and mCherry fluorophore pairs for accurate quantification, and a cysteine anchored coiled-coil to bind the gold chambered biosensor.
