Self-Introduction: Hello again, iGEMers! I’m Vincent Yu from Wuhan University. The beauty of synthetic biology has impressed me from the very beginning, and I’m proud to become the team leader of WHU-China in my second iGEM season. Devoted to cell-free synthetic biology, I anticipate making unique contributions for our generations in the foreseeable future.

Self-Introduction: Hello everyone! I am a junior in Wuhan University and my major is biology science. I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone and trying something new. And participating in iGEM may be the most difficult but the most precious experience in my college career. From this journey I find synthetic biology and especially our project this year so impressive. Also, I am really proud to be the vice leader of our team and glad to have all my teammates who are so hard-working!

Self-Introduction: Hi everyone! I’m Jiayang Li, a junior student from Honor College, Wuhan University. My dream is to reveal an unknown biochemical pathway and enrich our understanding of metabolic networks. In my spare time, I’m a big fan of Si-Fi movies and metal music. Being an iGEMer is very hard-core for me, but this journey brought me out of my safe zone and can be one of the most unforgettable experiences ever!

Name: Haoyu Zheng

Self-Introduction: I am a junior in Wuhan University and major in life science. Spare time for novels and Mili’s songs. iGEM gave me a stage to showcase what I learned. Although it was complicated and difficult, we did create something we wanted.

Name: Shichen Tang

Role:Responsible for Chemokine and Toxin-antitoxin module

Self-Introduction: I am a junior in Honor College, Wuhan University. In my spare time, I like gardening and travelling. To explore and create new things is enjoyable for me. Participating in iGEM may be one of the most challenging but the most precious experiences in my undergraduate career.

Name: Simin Ouyang

Self-Introduction: I am a junior student in Wuhan University majoring in Stomatology. I love spending my spare time visiting various kinds of museums and art galleries. It's really my honor to participate in iGEM 2020 and be a member of WHU-China, in which I not only enhance my scientific innovation capability, but also have a better understanding of the significance of teamwork. Apparently it can be said to be an unforgettable journey full of challenges and harvest as well.

Self-Introduction:I am a junior at College of Life Sciences in Wuhan University. At leisure, I enjoy planting flowers and doing crafts. It is my pleasure to be a member of our iGEM team and I found it full of challenges and joy. Not only did I utilize my expertise to improve our ideas and make contributions to the design of our hardware and the advancement of experiments, but I also experienced the joy of teamwork, from which I benefited a lot.

Name: Yangwenhui Xu

Role: Responsible for hardware design and the manufacture

Self-Introduction: I am a junior in Wuhan University. My major is electronic engineering and control science(automation). In the team I am mainly responsible for the content of the hardware model. In my spare time, I like playing nothing. Participating in iGEM is a very big challenge, which takes a lot of time and energy.

Self-Introduction: I'm a junior student in Wuhan University. I'm from the Honor College and my major is advanced manufacturing. In my free time, I like calligraphy, painting and playing the music. iGEM may be the hardest competition I have ever participated in. I like the feeling that I can use knowledge of my major to solve problems in other fields. And I appreciate that my teammates help me discover my infinite possibilities.

Name: Kaiyu Qiu

Role: Responsible for the mathematical modeling

Self-Introduction: I am an undergraduate from Wuhan University, with the focus on biological science. Biophysics techniques including single-molecule technique and X-ray crystal diffraction engage my interest in quantitative biology. It is the origin of life that attracts me most so my favorite scientific topics are ribozymes and polymerase, which are both strongly associated with evolution. Additionally, I enjoy playing electric guitar, listening to post-rock songs, going hiking and playing basketball(a crazy fan of Denver Nuggets). iGEM provides me an opportunity to put theories learned from textbooks into practice. For me, the process of dealing with numbers is nothing but exciting.

Name: Tianwei Gan

Self-Introduction: I am a junior in School of Mathematics and Statistics, Wuhan University. In my spare time, I like reading novels, especially whodunit, and listening to music. Taking part in iGEM is a very meaningful thing in my college life, which makes me know a lot of knowledge related to biology and improves my literature retrieval as well as reading ability.

Name: Yuqing Liu

Role:Illustration design

Self-Introduction: I am a junior in Wuhan University. In my spare time, I like playing volleyball and drawing some illustrations. Participating in iGEM may be the hardest but the most precious experience in my college career and I improved my design ability and my English language ability dramatically in this process.

Name: Yuxin Qi

Role: Responsible for wiki pages

Self-Introduction: I am a junior of school of Computer Science, Wuhan University. In my spare time, I like listening to music and reading. Participating in iGEM makes me meet a lot of challenges while overcoming more. In this process I learn to cooperate with others and express myself clearly, which improve myself greatly.

Self-Introduction: I am a junior of school of Computer Science, Wuhan University. I enjoy challenging myself and exploring my limits. iGEM gives me a chance to get acquainted with a lot of amazing people with a common goal, and we will do our best.

Name: Liran Mao

Role: Responsible for implementation and entrepreneurship

Self-Introduction: I am a sophomore in Wuhan University majoring in biology. If I have time, I’d like to listen to music, because beautiful melodies always render me relaxed. The experience of participating in iGEM provides an ideal environment to strengthen and test my understanding of such a discipline whilst it is a place in which I can implement my idea as well as formulate and contribute my own theories to the subject. I insist that I will have a wonderful journey along the road of biology, my passion for which will never lessen.

Self-Introduction: I am a sophomore at College of Life Science in Wuhan University. In my spare time,I enjoy playing volleyball. For me, participating in iGEM is a challenge full of surprises as well as difficulties. During this period of time, I have developed my ability of experiment and learnt to cooperate with our teammates. iGEM is not just a competition, but a precious experience in my college life.

Self-Introduction: I am a sophomore at College of Life Sciences in Wuhan University. In my spare time, I always like watching Japanese animations, and I am a fan of it. It is my pleasure to be a member of our iGEM team. In the whole process of the project, I participated in the cell related experiments, and also participated in the work of human practices group. These greatly trained my experimental ability and interpersonal skills and made me have a better understanding of synthetic biology.

Name: Ruishi Zhong

Self-Introduction: I'm now a sophomore in Wuhan University. I take delight in reading fiction during my spare moments. Being a member in an iGEM team is challenging,but it is also a meaningful experience. During these days, my knowledge in microbiology and immunology has improved significantly, as well as my sense of teamwork. I really appreciate the time spent with my great team members. We worked together in order to achieve the same goal.
