External Assistance
IGEM is a long journey. In the process of moving forward, we have met many intelligent and dynamic partners. We are very grateful for their kind help.
Guofan Fan
Guofan Fan helped to design the poster in the 7th Conference of China iGEMer Meetup, and helped to design our logo.
Lide Wang
Director of the Gansu Desert Control Research Institute, he gave us valuable Suggestions for improving the hardware and wet experiments of simulating desert climate and soil crust.
Chenhua Li
Associated researcher of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, she confirmed that without human intervention, desert soil crusts will appear, at the same time cyanobacteria dominate and Firmicutes (including Bacillus) are also abundant, which can support our project design.
Jianjun Qu
Researcher of the Key Laboratory of Desert and Desertification of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave us a lot of suggestions on hardware design.
Advisors
IGEM is not a one-time journey. After the IGEM competition, we have more time for activities such as After-IGEM etc. We appreciate three IGEMers from last year’s iGEM team for helping us a lot. In addition, we are also very grateful to the senior students guiding us on our experiments.
Mengmeng Xu
When we were brainstorming, Mengmeng Xu gave us a lot of useful suggestions and taught us to consult the literature. Additionally, she introduced us a variety of methods for constructing plasmids which has a profound impact on our project design.
Jun Yang
As a major member of the iGEM experimental group last year, Jun Yang told us a lot of experimental tips and experimental precautions.
Wenhe Ma
In the process of project advance, Wenhe Ma always patiently reminded us of the deadlines for various matters. Besides, he also helped us in parts and safety form submitting.
Chenxing Qian
As the leader of the XJTU-CHINA modeling group last year, Chenxing Qian mainly helped us with modeling.
Jiping Zhao
Jiping Zhao, phD student, has rich experience in experiments. She taught us a lot experimental skills and guided us to do primer design and plasmid design
PIs & Instructors
iGEM is also a rare research experience, we are very grateful to our PIs and Instructors for their patient assistance.
Xiaoyun Lu
Professor Lu encouraged us to carry out innovative practices. She provided us with good experimental conditions. With her suggestion, we have chosen fragrance molecules which can improve sleep conditions. She also provided us with great ideas to make our project more attractive.
Dan Tan
Dr.Tan gave us detailed information on our experiments. She taught us to construct plasmid maps and optimize our experimental schedule. She suggested that we perform separate characterization of the parts.
Shuhong Sun
Teacher Sun helped us in our experiments and taught us about lab safety.
Shuyan Qi
Teacher Qi taught us a lot of experimental skills.
Hua Li
Teacher Li helped a lot about experiment and the data analysis.
Yu Zhang
Teacher Zhang helped us to complete the determination of soil parameters
Thank you for your company and guidance along the way!
