In order to make our project down-to-earth and truly work for the public, we conducted human practice to keep in touch with different groups of the population, asking their opinions, and gaining feedback. From professionals like professors, doctors, and microbiologists, to people who are not familiar with this area like students and farmers who collect mushrooms, we all received lots of helpful advice and experiences from them.
Besides receiving information from others, we also try to create two-way dialogue by holding education and public engagement activities. Hopefully, by doing so we are able to introduce more people to synthetic biology and raise their awareness about mushroom poisoning.
