Background Overview

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, iGEM teams around the world are facing the dilemma of disrupted plans. The team members could not communicate with each other normally, and entering the laboratory for experiments had become a luxury. Even under such difficult circumstances, many iGEM teams did not shrink back, but faced challenges and overcome difficulties, striving to complete competition in this special year under the epidemic. After fully communicating with the teacher in charge of back-to-school arrangements and completing safety tests such as nucleic acid testing, we were finally able to return to the school in batches and re-enter the laboratory. Therefore, in this year's project promotion process, we mainly adopted a combination of online and offline methods, and made full use of the Internet and online meeting platforms to complete communication within and between teams.
