Prospect

With the increasingly close ties between the world, the pollution problems caused by factories are becoming more and more serious, which has brought disasters to the local environment and economy. However, most factories lacked awareness of the seriousness of pollution caused by the use of chemical dyes and often ignored such problems. Therefore, popular science education is essential for solving problems.

Broaden the application of project

SZU-China 2020 has integrated a set of precise solutions dedicated to solving the problem of dye pollution from the perspective of technology and science education. We carried out several activities this year, hoping to introduce "BLUEism" from the jeans industry to more fields. Based on this, we believe that our product can solve not only the jeans industry problem but also various clothing industries problem and even in other fields such as hair dyeing collaborated with Shanghai_SFLS_SPBS.

We are committed to using engineered bacteria to produce pigments, which means bacteria become micro-factories to produce this pigment at low cost and efficiency. But we still got lots to do.

  • In terms of the synthesis of Gardenia Blue pigment, we will cooperate with fermentation factories to carry out large-scale industrial fermentation production to test our production efficiency and cost.
  • In terms of the fraying industrial application, cellulase needs to adapt to the changing environment. We will continue to work hard to improve the enzyme activity of cellulase.

Factories are not the only one who needs to improve environmental awareness. Consumers, as the last link in the value chain, also need to understand the environment issue, health issue and social risks of the textile value chain, and selectively purchase eco-friendly and sustainable products. In this summer, we held abundant activities to popularize the hazards of chemical dyes and encourage everyone to use a sustainable one. For the wider public, we are still not doing enough. We hope to promote the concept of BLUEism to more people and promote the concept of sustainable living all around the world.
