& animation in our team. According to Elise, he sometimes eats lunch with imaginary friends.

Daniel
B.Sc. Biology, 22, Human Practices & wetlab
Measures time by:
Taking sneaky paparazzi pictures
Daniel has Instagram flirting skills beyond imaginable measures and likes to film people in 4K.
He made interview questions adapted to the interviewee's native language. He also brings his own
lunch and guards the room. He used a banana to hide information.
Elise
B.Sc. Biology, 22, wet lab & team secretary
Measures time by:
Asking people if they need some help
A very helpful and decisive soul.
Elise becomes verbally violent when gaming.
She holds a record for most blog posts translated to French.
Pablo
M.Sc. Bioinformatics (ongoing), 24, modelling
Measures time by:
Proposing to go places
Pablo rides a bike to get to the lab because he lives close.
He went on a one-week cycling trip Switzerland sight-seeing trip alone and
often complains about his modelling skills, yet usually has the most to present at our weekly meetings.
Pablo wants to live in the mountains and have goats. He has named his drone "Ramon".
Thierry
M.Sc. Food Science, 25, wetlab
Measures time by:
Checking if the primers arrived
Thierry is originally from ETH, but he has been “adopted” by our team and we couldn’t hope for
a better last-minute surprise. He has had many ideas for the project design & is the Benchling master.
Thierry is going for a “viking” look and after iGEM he will move to Canada. To take a break from wet lab
experiments he spends weekends in his hometown, Ticino.
Julien
B.Sc. Biology, 24, modelling
Measures time by:
Number of trips along the Geneva lake
When not modelling in the dry lab team, Julien is most probably sleeping on 4 chairs next to his desk.
Besides iGEM, he is working at the pool and making food for Drosophila. He made a transition from dry lab
to wet lab when the summer holidays ended. Enjoys throwing sheep.
Johanna
B.Sc. Biology (ongoing), 22, Modelling, Human Practices & team treasurer

Calling people to get what we want
Johanna brought a coffee machine that became the backbone of the team's functionality.
She is our funding & accounting mastermind. She is never afraid to shoot down ideas she doesn't like.
Ilinca
B.Sc. Biology, 22, wet lab & team captain
Measures time by:
How many times she played WAP in her head
Ilinca gets her name misspelt a lot.
She lives high up, even for Swiss standards and has probably read more books then the whole team combined.
Ilinca does most of our scientific writing. She is also responsible for never-ending coffee breaks.
Jérémy
B.Sc. Biology, 24, wet lab
Measures time by:
Counting the number of [ridiculously strong] coffees
Jérémy lives for football and biology.
He has a lot of holes in his lab coat due to some dangerous chemistry experiments.
When not working for iGEM he is spending time with his friends.
Kuba
B.Sc. Biology (ongoing), 22, wiki
Measures time by:
Dashing Pablo’s dreams of visiting Switzerland
Tall. Polish. Not very expressive.
Spends his days staring at the wiki before magically having a breakthrough and
rushing to tell everyone else about it (who will listen).
Does wet lab stuff when the wiki gets too much. Lives next to a giant fork.
Nico

How many times he got asked lab questions
Nico has, without a doubt, the wildest stories and he can help you with any question
(even the dumb ones) about the lab work. He also came up with the name for our project.
Sara
B.Sc. Biology, 23, Wetlab
Measures time by:
Waiting for a PCR to end
Sara likes to knit during online courses.
She also likes to cook like an old lady.
Another thing she enjoys is going out in good company, after a long day of work.
