Summary

A few months ago, we developed the idea for WavySense. After several weeks of team meetings, brain storming, video shoots and endless hours in the lab we finally made it to this point. COVID-19 was a big challenge but we did not give up even during hardest times. Therefore, we are proud of us as a team for believing in our idea and managing our way through this unusual situation. But we did not face this challenge completely alone. Many great people supported us on our way and on this page we want to express our thanks for everyone who helped us bringing this project to the current state. Therefore, we would like to acknowledge their outstanding contribution to our project.

    General Support

    Bernd Froböse and Johannes Fiedler

Both have given us first approaches for the implementation of our project.

    Dr Hanna Wagner

Her paper was the basis for the antibody part of our project. We are very grateful that she gave us valuable tips and insights into the grafting method.

    Dr. Martina Viefhues

Thank you for your help in choosing the IDT fabrication procedure.

    Laura Schlüter (advisor)

We would like to thank her especially for her help with sponsoring questions. But not only in the area of sponsoring but also in the laboratory she has been a reliable contact person whenever we needed help or when something went wrong.

    Lennard Karsten

Lennard helped us a lot with practical questions about our experiments. He was always responsive and patiently answered our questions even on Sunday evenings. And for that we are extremely grateful to him.

    Lutz Wobbe and Marga Ferrari

They helped us in many ways with issues regarding administration, sponsoring, organisation of events, finances and mail traffic.

    Markus Arens

who helped us with questions about blender for our animations.

    Markus Haak (advisor)

helped us on every aspect of software development, hardware and general questions about what is possible and what not.

    Max Edich

for providing helpful assists in the usage of HTML.

    Pascal Schmidt (advisor)

organised our weekend for finding our project in Springe. He also gave us an extra introduction in SnapGene and helped us with the evaluation of sequencing.

    Prisca Viehöver

did the sanger sequencing for our team

Prof. Dr. Jörn Kalinowski (1st PI)

gave us the opportunity to participate in iGEM by providing us with our own laboratory and the resources of his working group. Thanks for the trust to handle quite expensive objects like the camera we used for our videos and overall getting all the support.

    Prof. Dr. Kristian Müller

Prof. Müller guided us through a large part of our project. He provided us with many materials for our experiments as well as invaluable information on our project in general in many discussions. Therefore we would like to express our gratitude to him for his constant support and advice.

    Svenja Vinke (advisor)

has her laboratory not far from ours. Therefore we contacted her several times a day as soon as questions arose and we often borrowed her laboratory equipment. She constantly provided us with good advice when we were stuck. It was a relief for us to always be able to get help so quickly and for that we are grateful.
