NEFU-China

On July 21,2020, we had an online conversation with members of the Northeast Forestry University team. The meeting was mainly attended by 16 students, we showed their projects, each other to answer the relevant questions. Their experiment is to develop a new mine detection device, can be a digital signal, optical signal and biological sensing system of three parts together.

With them, we learned about how to recycle equipment, and we asked them about the time of detection, the evolution of targets, biosecurity, and environmental impact of sensitive bacteria. We explained to them the specific processes involved in the germiculture pretreatment and Lignin degradation, and we discussed the inspiration and unique advantages of the project. This meeting exchanges, we both pay more attention to the issue of biosafety, excluding other factors on the impact of laboratory bacteria. We also kept in touch with each other in the latter stages and helped each other with online research.

Jilin_China

Our communication with the Jilin team was very clever. We participated in the Northeastern coastal areas online meetup on July 18,2020. We learned at the conference that their experiment had three ABD models, and their controlled design to examine the inhibition of toxin on bacterial growth and the positive effect of antitoxin on bacterial growth gave us different inspiration. In verifying the feasibility of their own project, they combined the data of relevant team projects in 2017 to verify, let us remember.

In the project promotion, we suggest that we can make full use of the Internet platform to promote the experiment. Examples include registered microblogs, Bilibili, twitter, wechat accounts, etc. . We had no further exchanges on the experiment, but the exchange of the meeting let us benefit greatly, and also promoted the two teams to help each other, grow together.

Jiangnan_China

On July 11, 2020, we discussed with Jiangnan_China and other teams about the topic selection and process of the experiment. In the communication, we learned that their experiment was based on the CRISPR/Cas system to accurately regulate the biosynthesis of different types of Locust lipid in Candida bumpifera. Huai glycolipids are widely used in petroleum industry, environmental protection, cosmetics and detergents, and other fields, we think that contact with our energy subject, so in the later discussion, we put forward the they didn't control experiment, cannot know the product finally the question of what are the pros and cons to mankind, to help them improve the biological safety consciousness, perfecting experimental rigor.

Of course, their advantages, such as fast experimental progress, clear objectives and relatively single experimental products, are what we learn, which also greatly helps us and makes us pay more attention to experimental efficiency. They prepared souvenirs for us at the end of the meeting, and we also communicated with each other later on in human practice and stayed in touch, which was a great partner.
