We came up with three ways to educate our community on synthetic biology. The three ways include: a pamphlet on synthetic biology, a video on western blotting, and a bingo game.
Informational Pamphlet
This year, we sought to increase our community’s knowledge of synthetic biology, our project, and iGEM. We created a Google Form where we asked people about their knowledge on synthetic biology, kudzu, and iGEM and if they had any questions relevant to the three subjects. After collecting back responses, we created a pamphlet that addresses the participants’ questions.
Educational Video
Tiancheng(Eric) Lan created an informational video about fundamental biology concepts and experimental techniques to continue our team knowledge of synthetic biology in the absence of not having access to the lab. The video below is on the western blot technique.
Bingo
George Luan created an iGEM themed bingo.
