Parts

This year, team UCAS-China submitted two basic parts and one composite part. Due to the lack of experimental time, we will try to use the obtained experimental data and the data obtained in the literature to characterize our parts. The rest of the experimental data will be added later.

BBa_K3392000Coding Doc-SsrA Doc is a protein usually used in bacteria toxin-antitoxin system (TA system). This TA system is derived from the bacteriophage P1, which lysogenizes in Escherichia coli cells as a stable low-copy plasmid. Doc plays a role of toxin. SsrA is a degradation tag of 11-residue carboxy-terminal peptide tail to the incomplete nascent chain. Doc-SsrA is a part connects Doc and SsrA with TEV site. When there is no TEV in the cell, toxin protein will be degraded; after TEV is produced, it can function normally. In our biosafety switch, this design will reduce the loss of plasmid due to the leaky expression, thus reducing the escape rate.
BBa_K3392001 Coding LL-37Cathelicidin peptide is a kind of peptide family protein which can inhibit the protease Cathepsin-L and has antimicrobial effect. Cathelicidin peptide is a kind of peptide family protein which can inhibit the protease cathepsin-l and has anti microbial effect.LL-37 may play an antibacterial role in Hp induced gastritis.
BBa_K3392100 Composite pfnrs-LL37 This part consists of the anaerobic-inducible promoter PfnrS and the coding sequence of cathelicidin LL-37. When the environment shows a low concentration of oxygen, the promoter is activated and the gene of LL-37 is expressed. So that the expression of the cathelicidin can be regulated by the concentration of oxygen.
