The overview
We cannot avoid the inherent risks in laboratory safety. We guarantee the safety and environmental safety of experimenters through safety procedures and safe operations. Meanwhile, we have supervisors to further guarantee the safety of our experiments.
Specific safety issues
Laboratory safety:
◇1.
When entering the laboratory, you must wear lab clothes according to the regulations. When conducting toxin test, you must wear the corresponding protective equipment (protective mask, protective gloves, protective glasses).
◇2.
Subjects with long hair were required to tie up their long hair and wear shoes that could completely cover their feet.
◇3.
It is forbidden to eat, drink or store food in the laboratory. After the experiment, you must wash your hands before eating.
◇4.
In the configuration of reagents, it is necessary to make a mark, indicating the configuration time, personnel, configuration, concentration, etc.
◇5.
When taking test tubes, each test tube should be marked to avoid confusion.
◇6.
At the end of the experiment, the instrument shall be turned off, the light shall be turned off and the door shall be closed in accordance with the laboratory regulations.
◇7.
The laboratory is equipped with shower device, eye suction device, fire extinguisher, emergency room and other safety devices.
◇8. Experimental reagents and test tubes shall be stored in different categories according to regulations.
●Environmental safety: Waste liquid, waste bacteria, waste gun head and other laboratory wastes shall be treated uniformly in accordance with regulations to avoid microbial invasion into the environment and further pollute the environment.
●Experimental strains: The plasmid was introduced into Escherichia coli as engineering bacteria in the laboratory. Escherichia coli is a kind of intestinal flora of human beings and a common engineering bacteria in the laboratory.Biosafety level 1.
●Microbial toxicity: Microcystins are a class of cyclic heptapeptide compounds with biological activity and are the most widely distributed hepatotoxins.China national Drinking Water Standard limits the amount of this toxin in drinking water to 1 g/L.Biosafety level 2.
Training and Implementation
Before entering the laboratory, all the team members received the corresponding experimental operation safety training, and were informed of the dangers to be paid attention to during the experiment and what to do when the dangers occurred. At the same time, we appointed a fixed safety officer to supervise our implementation of the corresponding safety specifications during the experiment.During the experiment, if an experimenter violates the laboratory regulations for many times during the experiment, we will restrict him from entering the laboratory until he receives experimental training again and passes the test.
