Freshman Camp

National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan

Every September, NTHU holds freshman camp to introduce and promote programs and events in school. iGEM NTHU had joined the camp and shared the experience of iGEM with all freshman students. It’s the first time to hear about synthetic biology and iGEM for most students. We introduced about how could synthetic biology impact on real life, and what did we do with synthetic biology in our project to achieved the goals that we settled for solution to target problem. After our sharing, we received so many feedbacks told us they were interesting in synthetic biology and wanted to know more about iGEM.

Department of Life Science Promotion

Orientation Camp

National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan

Our team held a lecture in the orientation camp in department of life science in NTHU for promoting knowledge in field of synthetic biology and iGEM competition. We divided the lecture into 2 part, presentation of our project and details of biosynthesis mechanism in our project, discussion with our team members for applications of synthetic biology in iGEM. They showed great passion on how variously could synthetic biology be used in real life and excited about how could they apply it on their future work.
