Registration and Participation Fees

There are two types of fees that iGEM teams are responsible for during the course of the season: the Team Fee and Jamboree Fee.

1. Team Fee

The team registration fee for iGEM 2020 is $5500 USD.

Each team pays one registration fee. The team fee is the participation fee to take part in the iGEM Competition and includes associated materials and support. Every team must pay the same fee regardless of section, track, region, etc. The funds are used for the support and development of the iGEM Competition and other iGEM Foundation programs.

    Deadlines:
  • Regular Registration: $5500 USD, ends May 15 at 11:59PM EDT
  • Late Registration: $6000 USD, begins May 16 at 12:00AM EDT

Multiple Team Discount: Is your school fielding more than one iGEM team? Register the first team at the regular price and get $1000 off each additional team. See the Team Fee page for details.

2. Jamboree Fee

The Jamboree fee for the iGEM 2020 Giant Jamboree is $2500 per team.

Registration will now be on a per team basis, rather than a per attendee basis. Each registered team has one presentation at the Jamboree, and one poster at the Jamboree.

  • Jamboree Registration opens: June
  • Jamboree Registration closes: August 31
